store and play his guitar for fish and beer.

He got tired of fish and rushing water and went to Utah to try and forget about fishing. While playing at the Three Legged Dog Saloon, he met Elwood Garcia. The Elwood Garcia Band was formed in the early 80's in Utah. It was known as a hard drinking band around whom women and drugs were not safe. Elwood discovered he was allergic to alcohol. It made him break out in misdemeanors and occasional felonies. Then along with B-Slider Brock (B-Slide to his friends) they began writing songs. Hookjaw covers acoustic guitar, electric rhythm and lead guitar, bass, Tenor and Alto saxophone (plus some keyboards), and backup vocals.
B-Slide Brock

B-Slide took some time off to woodshed with Frank DiSalvo (another Santa Cruz boy) and learned all those pesky Jazz Chords and Scales. B-Slide then met le Hook and formed a Road Kill band playing and fishing in remote bars and fishing resorts for twenty years. Writing songs of their times came next and this album project was started. B-Slide covers slide guitar, lead guitar, harmonica and lead vocals.

Trout Heaven calls them back again and again, where clean air, tall pines and warm beds give them the reason for Hook Jaw Brown.
